Efron and White are set to play WWE champion brothers in the upcoming A24 wrestling film “The Iron Claw.” Efron transforms into WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Von Erich, one of six brothers in a wrestling family. White will play Kerry Von Erich, aka the Texas Tornado. Following recent reports that “Lilyhammer” would be leaving the service following the expiration of a 10-year licensing agreement, Netflix has closed a last minute deal to continue streaming the show. The news was revealed to IndieWire by Netflix, and means that all 24 episodes of Netflix’s first original series will continue to be available to subscribers. “Lilyhammer” starred longtime E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt (who also produced, wrote, directed, and served as music supervisor) as a mobster who relocates to rural Norway after entering the witness protection program....

Emmy winner Murphy and Ian Brennan co-created and executive produce the series, which also stars Mia Farrow and Margo Martindale....

“Descendant” tells the story of a search to find the remains of the last slave ship to arrive in America, named the Clotilda. While the ship was burned outside of Africatown, Alabama in 1860, many descendents of the people forcibly brought over from Africa still live in the area. Margaret Brown’s documentary focuses on telling the stories of those families, using the search for the shipwreck as a catalyst to examine the deeply rooted traumatic effects of slavery in America....

There can be exceptions and it’s likely that “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” will be one of them. (It arrives December 30, a month after a one-week, 600-theater domestic theatrical release.) Rian Johnson’s film will have the benefit of its predecessor, a theatrical hit, as well as its cast and strong reviews. (Coincidentally, “Blonde” star Ana de Armas was part of the initial ensemble).
